The Ask
The ask for this project was to create a series of patch designs for the Air Force Academy's Gaming Research For Learning Laboratory. The client wanted there to be not only elements of their gaming and VR equipment in the patch but also natural areas like the Rocky Mountains and their Cadet Chapel. When creating these patch designs, I kept this in mind: trying to combine aspects of their campus with their technological elements. I based my color scheme on the Colorado flag to anchor this patch to its state, and I played around with how to show their technological elements in the space the patch allowed. I created three designs that were then finalized in Illustrator and then sent off to the client for approval.
