Welcome Letter Design
The Ask
The ask for this project was to develop poster templates and a welcome letter for the 3M Onboard brand. Centered around creating an experience for 3M's new employees, these deliverables focused on aspects of this sub-brand: wonder, excitement, and curiosity. There was a need for two poster sizes: US and A1, to be printed in both the US and in Europe, so two designs were needed. I created these templates to channel those feelings of wonder and excitement by using gradients and wondrous imagery like the bioluminescent jellyfish and plankton. Bringing in the imagery of potential employees helps connect new employees to their new role, and helps them see themselves in this excited and curious atmosphere. I worked with my design team and the client to develop these based on feedback, which was cultivated into the final forms you see here.
